Maine singers sought to perform at Portland Sea Dogs games, other events
An amazing opportunity is being presented to Maine singers who would like to audition for the position of Maine Games National Anthem Vocalist, and to represent the organization statewide at a variety of events throughout the year.
This audition is free, but those wishing to audition must submit an online application answering one simple question: "What the Star Spangled Banner means to me."
This is the eighth annual audition offered by the Maine Games, and past winners have had the opportunity to perform live before large audiences at events such as the Maine Shrine Circus, Portland Sea Dogs baseball games, and at the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic.
Additionally, singers have also been provided a recording session, promotional materials, and additional opportunities and prizes.
This year's Maine Games National Anthem Audition will be held at the Kora Shrine, in Lewiston, starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 19.
