MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital Board appoints new member
MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital announced Nov. 22 that Rep. Lydia V. Crafts has joined its Board of Directors effective Oct. 30.
Rep. Crafts is serving her second term in the Maine House of Representatives representing District 46, which includes Bristol, Damariscotta, Monhegan, Newcastle and Nobleboro. She was elected on Nov. 5 to her third term. Crafts grew up in Belfast, Maine, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from Smith College and a Master of Social Work from the University of Maine. She currently resides in Newcastle.
“The Board is very impressed by Rep. Crafts’ dedication to the issues that are essential to the delivery of quality healthcare in a rural setting like ours,” said Bruce Garren, chair of the board’s nominating committee. “Historically, the Board has benefitted greatly by having the unique perspective of those who are actually forming the public policy that impacts healthcare.”
Crafts said she is honored by this appointment and looks forward to engaging with the MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital board, management and staff.

The MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital Board is currently comprised of 20 members, including several practicing and retired community physicians, local businesspeople, healthcare specialists from the consulting, teaching and legal professions, and current and former state representatives.
