Maine's Community Supported Agriculture Fairs coming soon
Maine's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Fairs, cosponsored by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) and local Maine groups, are part celebration and part education, as local farmers, fishermen and other food producers tell community members how to enjoy local foods and support local businesses in a meaningful way.
Each location will have plenty of local flavor, whether live local music, tastings featuring local foods, sales of food and other products from local farms and businesses, film screenings, raffle baskets and more.
With more than 180 farms and 6,900-plus shares, Maine's CSA community is transforming relationships with food and farms. There is no formula to a CSA. Like the communities supporting them, each is unique. The bottom line is that people make commitments to farms, and in return farmers make commitments to produce for their members the freshest, most flavorful, highest quality food possible.
