The Morris Farm Store opening this week
Thursday, June 19 marks the opening of The Morris Farm Store at 156 Gardiner Road in Wiscasset. The store will be open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will offer a tantalizing variety of local and organic produce and products from farms in Lincoln County and the surrounding areas. All sales will go to support The Morris Farm Trust's educational programming and operations.
Among the products currently offered at The Morris Farm Store are raw milk, free-range eggs, lettuce, goat cheese, cheddar, salsa, mesclun mix, pickled fiddleheads, Swiss chard, spinach, honey, maple syrup, rhubarb, culinary herbs, seedlings, sun dried tomato pesto, radishes, pickles, dilly beans, scallions, marinara sauce, smoked sea salt, soap, seeds, and Morris Farm logo T-shirts and hats. In the coming weeks and months, the store will look to expand its offerings (bacon, sausage and other meats may be added) and will include fresh veggies, cut flowers, herbs, garlic (and garlic scapes) grown and harvested on-site by staff and volunteers.
The Morris Farm Store will also serve as a venue where visitors can learn about educational programming, events and activities happening at the farm.
Come see what The Morris Farm Store has to offer, support agricultural education and local farms, and bring home the taste of summer!
