New show: Eight artists from Dunn Art Salon Group
Eight Maine artists share their varied styles, mediums and viewpoints of the beauty found in Maine landscape, nature and wildlife at the Damariscotta River Grill. The show opens Monday, Oct. 28 and will be on exhibit through Dec.15.
Join us Oct. 28 for a special opening reception with a Prix Fixe three course menu that will be offered for $29, with a choice of wine pairings for $10, or choose a selection from the regular menu, 4:30 -7:30 p.m. A portion of the dinner proceeds will be used to fund a scholarship for a Lincoln Academy student pursuing an art education.
The group of artists have been painting together for several years at the studio of seasoned Maine artist Sandra Leinonen Dunn. The group includes Lisa Greenleaf of Chelsea, John O'Hearn of Augusta, Judy Ronco of Augusta, Linda Stevenson of Damariscotta, Sandra Dunn of Chelsea, Susan Farnsworth of Hallowell, Penny Markley of Winthrop, and Judy Herman of Gardiner.
This group of artists work in a variety of media from watercolors to oils to pastels and their works range in subject matter from florals, to animals to landscapes (and everything in between). What they all have in common is their love of making art. Some of the artists exhibit their work in galleries and some also maintain other professions such as the study of law and homeopathic animal care.
The Grill is open seven days a week 4-8:30 p.m. Happy Hour is 4-5:30 in the bar upstairs. To make a reservation, please call 207-563-2992. Check our website, www.damariscottarivergrill.com, for updates, specials, and the special Prix Fixe dinner menu created for this show opening.
