New workshops at FARMS Community Kitchen
There’s never a dull moment at the FARMS Community Kitchen.
Next up is a four-week series of workshops for the kitchen gardener, being offered by the farmers of Morning Dew Farm. From the soil to the seed to the harvest, the experts will guide participants through the process of growing their own delicious, nutritious food at home.
“These sessions are designed to help you have a fun and productive summer regardless of your growing space or experience,” FARMS Executive Director Heather Burt said. “Everyone will leave the program with a written plan for their garden including techniques for improving soil health, planting dates, tools, tips and more.”
The program runs every Saturday morning from March 8 until March 29, inclusive. Each session will be held at the FARMS Community Kitchen above Rising Tide in Damariscotta and runs from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Each workshop costs $15 or $50 for the series. Scholarships are available and all proceeds will benefit FARMS. To sign up, email heather@mefarms.org by the Wednesday before each session.
