Once Upon a Time Family Dance
CANCELED on Feb. 5 - due to a family emergency. See notice online. To be rescheduled.
Come one, come all to The Once Upon a Time Family Dance at The Opera House at Boothbay Harbor on Friday, Feb. 8. In previous years this event has been the popular Father-Daughter dance, but in response to requests it has been expanded to include all family members this winter.
When the doors swing open at 6 p.m. the evening will welcome kings and queens, knights and fair maidens, the young and the maybe not-so-young for this magical community event. Set designer Kevin Kiley will transform the performance hall into a fairy tale kingdom. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
Bring your family and friends to learn popular line dances like the Bunny Hop, The Electric Slide, The Macarena and more! Music will be provided by C-Dawg DJ Services. Poison apples, fairy wands, pretzel swords and other fairy tale themed treats and punch will be available.
Tickets are available only through the box office. Call 633-5159 or stop by 86 Townsend Avenue during box office hours, Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Advance tickets are $5 and tickets purchased on the day of the dance are $8. Questions? Call Princess Kimberly Keller, box office manager, at 633-5159.
