Pemaquid Art Gallery artists exhibit at Damariscotta River Grill
Give the gift of Art this Holiday season! Twenty of Pemaquid Art Gallery’s talented artists share their varied styles, mediums and views of the beauty in Maine landscape and wildlife at the Damariscotta River Grill. This comprehensive show opens Dec. 13 and will be on exhibit until March 14. The “Art at the Grill” opening evening is Thursday, Dec. 16. A portion of the dinner proceeds will be used to fund a scholarship for a Lincoln Academy student pursuing an art education.
This talented group of Midcoast Maine artists include Barbara Applegate, Deb Arter, Stephen Busch, John Butke, Dianne Dolan, Gwendolyn Evans, Peggy Farrell, Sarah Fisher, Kay Hannah, Will Kefauver, Jan Kilburn, Sally Loughridge, Judy Nixon, Barbara Vanderbilt, Robert Vaughan, Candace Vleck, Paul Sherman, Liliana Thelander, Kimberly Traina, and Sherrie York. The Pemaquid Group of Artists includes over 30 juried Maine artists whose mediums include painting, pastels, ceramics, printmaking, woodworking, and drawing. This year, PGA celebrates 93 continuous years of exhibitions, and its 61st year in the gallery at Lighthouse Park on the Pemaquid Point. The Pemaquid Art Gallery is open from Memorial Day through Columbus Day.
The award-winning PGA artists are all current residents of Lincoln County, whose work is also represented in collections across the country. The group includes both regionally and nationally known artists. Each year, the group opens to jurying new applicants who represent the best of the Midcoast art scene.
PGA’s mission is to provide a venue for qualified area artists, enrich the cultural environment for area residents and visitors, and foster and support art education through financial donations.
