Plan to enjoy Wiscasset Holiday Marketfest at the library
Wiscasset Holiday Marketfest is scheduled for Dec. 1, 2 and 3. The charming historic Village of Wiscasset will be decorated for the season by some remarkably busy elves. The unique shops and galleries will be welcoming new and returning shoppers during three days of holiday fun. Be sure to stop by and see some unique items that will be available. Wiscasset is always a special place to visit, especially during the holiday season.
This is a magical time, especially for children. Once again, the Friends of the Wiscasset Public Library will be holding a special sale where children can shop for gifts for all family members at a discounted price. Santa is not able to attend this event, however, he has graciously agreed to send some of his incredibly special elves to help the children shop and wrap their purchases.
This year we have added a special shopping experience. There will be a special display in the Library Reading Room targeted at adults for shopping. The items available will be focused on adults. As with the Children’s Shopping Experience these items will be greatly reduced in price.
Santa has asked his friend, Bradley the Havanese, to attend this event. Bradley is a hypoallergic dog and does not shed! Bradley will be available for pictures with anyone who would like one (bring your own cameras!). Bradley is volunteering his time and there is no charge for this. He will be easy to find as he will be wearing his bright red sweater. He will also have a special coloring page for everyone.
The Friends of Wiscasset Public Library are looking forward to seeing you and helping you and your children find the perfect gifts on Saturday, Dec. 2. The hours of the event are 10 a.m. to noon. The Wiscasset Public Library is located at 21 High Street, Wiscasset. We hope to see you there!
