Prix fixe dinner specials & the Holiday Art Show
Celebrate the holidays with delicious food and give a gift of art!
Join us at Damariscotta River Grill for a week of dinner specials the week of Dec. 15-19 to celebrate art and the holidays. The Pemaquid Group of Artists new show will be on display just in time for holiday gift giving. The Grill is hosting five nights of special prix fixe three course menus offered for $25, with a choice of wine pairings for $9. Regular menu items will be available. A portion of the dinner proceeds will be used to fund a scholarship for a Lincoln Academy student pursuing an art education. Please call ahead to make a reservation. Art will be on display through March 29.
Fourteen artists from this talented group from Midcoast Maine include Deb Arter, Dianne Dolan, Sarah Fisher, Kay Hannah, Kathleen Horst, Hannah Ineson, Will Kefauver, Jan Kilburn, Sally Loughridge, Judy Nixon, Liliana Thelander, Kim Traina, Barbara Vanderbilt, and Robert Vaughan. The Pemaquid Group of Artists is comprised of 28 juried Maine artists whose mediums include painting, pastels, ceramics, printmaking, woodworking, and drawing. The gallery is located at Lighthouse Park on the Pemaquid Point, and hopes to reopen in the spring of 2021.
The award-winning PGA artists are from Lincoln County, whose work is also represented in collections across the country. Once a year, PGA juries applicants to select new members who represent the best of the Midcoast art scene. PGA’s mission is to provide a venue for qualified local artists, enrich the cultural environment for Maine residents and visitors, and to foster and support art education through financial contributions. PGA appreciates the partnership with the Grill in helping to support a Lincoln Academy student pursuing an art career.
The Grill’s hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 3-8 p.m. A very large floor plan affords ample space to create safe dining spots with six-feet or more between tables and plenty of room for staff to maneuver and serve while maintaining social distancing. Dinner and the bar are reservation only, so arrivals can be staggered to best adhere to safety guidelines. Take out meals of the entire menu and expanded offerings in the prep kitchen are available.
