Raffles for themed gift baskets will be on sale at the annual Christmas Fair at St. Patrick Church on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Cheverus Hall at St. Patrick Church, 380 Academy Hill Road in Newcastle. The following baskets will be available: a Chocolate Basket, a Christmas Basket and, new this year, a Celebration Basket.

Do you or someone you know need a sewing machine? A member of the Shamrocks has donated a new, never used, sewing machine for the raffles! A small investment in a raffle ticket could net you a wonderful gift for a family member, a friend or yourself!

All adults who attend the Craft Fair will receive a free raffle ticket for our Thanksgiving Basket. This basket is filled with items to help you prepare your Thanksgiving feast.

Tickets are reasonable - $1 each, six for $5 and an arm’s length for $10. Ticket buyers do not have to wait until 2 p.m. when the fair closes; holders of winning tickets will be notified by phone. Come to shop at the vendor and craft tables, enjoy lunch at the Shamrock Café, pick up some Christmas greenery and take a chance on some great prizes!

Once again, the Shamrocks will be offering some gently used items for sale on the Re-Gifting Table. From books to collectibles, dishes and glassware to decorative knick-knacks there will be many items available and all at very reasonable prices. Look carefully, as some true antiques are hidden among these treasures.

As always, there is no fee to attend.
