Roobie
Have you ever heard a Jack Russell terrier snore?
I know, I know. We've just had the biggest storm in the history of the universe. But my guess is that many have been weathered out by photos on Facebook, Google, TV, etc. – and probably lots of snow scenes right here in this very paper.
So I figured a break from all the weather news might be nice. A break from all the shoveling would be nice, too.
Roobie (phonetically spelled by Montessori daughters), our Jack Russell, is getting a little “long in the tooth,” as our old friend Franklyn Lenthall used to say. And with her longer teeth comes an interesting new twist: snoring.
Miss Roobie has moved in with us, to the bedroom. (Note: Not into the bed!)
She has been having some dietary complications which sometimes require immediate attention.
We, but mostly I, sleep with one ear open, always have. But recently, the more alert ear has detected the dulcet tones of canine sleep apnea. Roobie seems to have adjusted to this new development by rearranging her pillows and elevating her head.
What's a mother to do?
