Spectrum Generations continues its weekly Lunch & Learn offerings throughout the month of August.

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, Casey Stevens and Melissa Temple, director and deputy director (respectively) of the Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency, will present information on the new Project Lifesaver as well as a mini Search program. Entrée: hot dogs, baked beans, corn and coleslaw.

Wednesday, Aug. 14, lunch will take place a Camp Kieve – the Kennedy Learning Center. Kay Hardy Campbell, author of “A Caravan of Bridges” and the director of the annual Arabic Music Retreat and Mount Holyoke College will present “Saudi Women: Change and Challenge” to open eyes to a life very different from ours. Entrée: chicken pot pie, biscuits, and zucchini. (This special lunch is $7 for all)

On Wednesday, Aug. 21, Meredith White, PhD, Head of Research and Development at Mook Sea Farm will present a program on the oyster hatching and farming process. Entrée: BBQ pulled pork, macaroni and cheese and seasonal vegetables.

On Wednesday, Aug. 28, Hearts Ever Young will present A Decade of Razzle Dazzle – 10 years of song, dance, and comedy from our friends and neighbors. Entrée: grilled kielbasa, roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Spectrum Generations’ Lincoln County Regional Center is located inside the CLC YMCA at 525 Main Street, Damariscotta, and offers weekly Lunch & Learns on Wednesdays, from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. often featuring local and well-known speakers. $5 donation is appreciated from those over 60 years of age; $6.50 for all others.
