Summer’s last splash at the BRAF Gallery
As summer days grow shorter, the light continues to shine at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) Gallery where the September Members’ Artist Showcase will be unveiled on Aug. 28 and continue through Sept. 22. Featuring an array of artists working in diverse styles and mediums as well as subject matter, this September’s show will be the last member show of the 2024 summer season. Join us for an opening reception on Friday, Sept. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m.
“Dreams and the divine Bird Goddess” are themes explored in Georjean Machulis’ solo show, which will be on view upstairs at the gallery through Sept. 30. “My art celebrates dreams, our connections to one another, our earth, the ancestors, other dimensions and to life which gives way to death,” says Machulis.
An inclusive non-profit organization, BRAF has been the cornerstone of the Boothbay region’s artistic community since 1963. The foundation’s mission is to provide exhibition space for artists of all ages working in a variety of media – painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media.
The Boothbay Region Art Foundation Gallery is located at 1 Townsend Ave. in the heart of Boothbay Harbor. For more information, visit boothbayartists.org or email us at brafgallery@gmail.com.
