Survivor tribute matching challenge
New Hope Midcoast is excited to announce a matching challenge opportunity that doubles donor impact and provides a chance to recognize someone who has contributed to our community in meaningful and impactful ways. Donors may honor teachers, mentors, coaches, healthcare providers, law enforcement, volunteers, friends, and anyone who works to serve others. Letters sent to honorees will inform them of contributions made in their name. Gifts made in April will be doubled up to $10,000.
Survivors of domestic abuse are often isolated without anyone who understands their circumstances. They need to feel supported, understood, and welcome. This tribute celebrates people who have selflessly offered their services to ensure that everyone experiences a sense of belonging and that everyone has the freedom to live a life of their choosing.
New Hope Midcoast believes that the misuse of power to demean or control others fosters oppression and violence. This manifests itself as racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, religious bigotry, domestic abuse and other forms of violence. The agency believes that a just and peaceful society must commit itself to confronting and overcoming all forms of oppression and violence. Supporting survivors also benefits individuals and families and enhances the overall social and economic development of our area.
