Grow-to-donate farm Veggies to Table has an upcoming flower pop-up event at Perch Cafe & Bakery at 11 Friendship Road, Waldoboro on Saturday, May 11 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Ahead of the event, starting Thursday, May 9, tulips will be on sale at Perch. Veggies to Table themselves will be there on Saturday selling gorgeous tulip and daffodil bouquets and Veggies to Table merchandise to raise funds and awareness about hunger in Waldoboro. Proceeds from flower and merchandise sales will support Veggies to Table in their mission to help end hunger in Maine.

Many families, and children, go to bed and wake up hungry every day in Waldoboro. Veggies to Table is making neighbors aware of the issue and easing hunger in the area by donating seeds and produce to the Waldoboro Food Pantry, as well as local schools, sharing tables, and low-income housing.
