The next monthly meeting of the Visually Impaired Persons (VIP) group will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 1:15 p.m. in the Community Center located in the Meadow Mall in Boothbay Harbor.  

This group welcomes everyone who is facing any type of visual loss, whether dealing with pesky floaters (Oh dear! Those aren't fruit flies!), that swimmy feeling while adjusting to bifocals, the reluctance to have surgery or eye injections, or gracefully surrendering the car keys. This will be a discussion meeting where the members may share some of their trials and triumphs, offer progress reports, or read poems or articles that are pertinent and uplifting. Drivers and caregivers are always invited to attend these meetings.
