We stand for the people, but not the children
Dear Editor:
Each state has its own child protective agencies and protective laws. Yes, that system has worked the majority of times, but each has its list of children who died at the hands of their parents and foster parents.
Never in the history of this country did our federal government steal thousands of babies, toddlers and elementary age children from mothers and fathers, without a record of their ultimate destination. The rationale offered, about children not belonging in prison has never been implemented by any governing body without full knowledge and approval of why and where the child would be cared.
No photos, no approvals, no understandings of who is responsible for the children in care, looks like a sloppy plan deliberately chosen that will end the U.S. role in intelligent solving of problems. Already we know of deaths of children taken from the parents and no regret expressed by those in charge. Authorities say parents are not supposed to be deported without their children, but they are. Deported parents have also “lost” their kids by adoption.
Recently our federal leaders claimed in court they cannot locate these stolen children to be returned to their parents for two more years. This is when many were stolen in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Now they want a judge to let them take two years to right this wrong. They claim they have a plan that would take two years (four years actually as three have already gone by).
Every state, church volunteer, and team of Democrats should stand up for the children and teach the federal government how to locate parents and children in less than one year, including those taken before the public was notified of such mean and illegal action against children. Even when adult parents grieve, their brains are not damaged beyond repair. This act was undeniably against children without remorse by federal perpetrators.
If state, church, and Democratic action teams are not begun then my title would be correct. If my title is correct, what is the purpose of life? Do we only live for ourselves? Is life good when it is destroyed and love is unattainable?
