The announcement states: "Proceeds from Winterfest go to benefit the Cooper DiPerri Scholarship, which benefits adults, families and children in Wiscasset and surrounding communities with scholarships for camps, after school programs, memberships for the Community Center and programs to help them grow and develop in a healthy and positive way. Without this scholarship foundation, many people would not be able to enjoy the benefits of what our local Community Center and Parks & Recreation Department has to offer. By accessing these programs, we are providing families with the opportunity to live a healthy and happy lifestyle amongst friends."
