2019 new year angel resolves
Dear Editor:
Every year we begin December holidays with thoughts and gifts of love for friends and family, and to look at neighbors through the eyes of God.
How did two Guatemalan children die while under our care? We saw pain in the eyes of the family, and in our neighbor’s eyes. How is it our country does not express the sorrow for loss of a child’s life that our country caused? How can one person smile with joy as if blaming people who were not parental surrogates were more responsible? Pediatricians state “When you take custody you're a parental surrogate who must pay attention as if this were your own child.”
Did you cry when you heard about the two children’s deaths? Did you seek God’s forgiveness in prayer? How can we protect other children taken by our government when two early 2018 pediatric training requests are ignored by Secretary Nielsen?
There are international conventions on the rights of children which are respected, protected and fulfilled. Many parents believe our country is one of love, where angels protect the children and life is achieved through the eyes of God. Where did we go? When did we stop honoring God’s love for children and for each other?
I feel angel spirits are seeking to save our souls. How is it trees love their neighboring trees and share their own medicine to keep a neighbor tree alive, but we are failing to keep children alive? I pray we have not lost our souls.
It is a new year when we gather our love of God and thoughts of angel resolves for 2019. I have never seen an angel, but I know my life was saved when one reached down and rescued me when I was 8 years old. I know of another child who felt the angel’s hands stopping her from falling out a window when she was a toddler.
Resolve to see my neighbors through the eyes of God.
Resolve to love all who hate so they see love through God’s eyes.
Resolve to insure all of God’s children are respected, protected and filled with the light of love.
