St. Patrick Church supper March 17
Come and celebrate the wonderful Irish heritage that was instrumental in the formation of St. Patrick Church in Newcastle on Sunday, March 17. As in years past, the Shamrocks will be hosting a traditional corned beef dinner (chicken is an option) with all the usual side dishes, including home baked Irish soda breads and dessert in Cheverus Hall on the grounds of St. Patrick Church, 380 Academy Hill Road in Newcastle. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 6. Tickets are $15 each for adults and $10 for children twelve and under.
The dinner features performances once again by the Murphy Family, John Reinhardt and Amanda Armstrong, and the Tolley Sisters. Join in the fun and sing along to traditional Irish songs. Raffles will include two gift baskets – a basket of traditional Irish products as well as a Lucky Shamrock Lottery.
In addition to our celebration, members of the History Project of St. Patrick are planning a special presentation for us this year – Gifts from the Heart: An Historical Perspective!
Tickets will be available after all Masses on March 2 and 3, March 10 and 11 as well as March 16, or by calling Bernadette Steele (207-832-6163). We are looking forward to seeing you and celebrating our heritage at Cheverus Hall at St. Patrick Church in Newcastle. Tickets will not be available at the door.
