Eleventh annual Champagne on the Sheepscot fundraiser for Midcoast Conservancy
Spend a bucolic evening on the shores of the Sheepscot River in Alna, sipping Champagne and enjoying hors d’oeuvres while a Lincoln Academy student jazz combo provides the soundtrack at Champagne on the Sheepscot. And if that’s not enough, ticket sales support the work of Midcoast Conservancy, promoting healthy lands, waters, wildlife, and people in Midcoast Maine through conservation, education, and outdoor recreation.
Join fellow conservationists on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 4:30-7 p.m.; in addition to champagne, full bar and wine stations will be located around the property. Gourmet appetizers will be prepared by Rockland-based Café Miranda. Wander the fields and shoreline trail, and meet or greet friends and fellow conservation supporters. Event chair Paula Swetland said, “I urge everyone in the Midcoast to take advantage of this unique opportunity to enjoy a magical late summer evening on a very special property in our watershed, all the while helping to protect it.”
This year, Alna artist Kate Nordstrom has donated a triptych of a salmon, in honor of the International Year of the Salmon. To buy raffle tickets ($10 for 1, $20 for 3), go to https://www.midcoastconservancy.org/events/champagne-on-the-sheepscot-2/
Winners need not be present to win.
