Wiscasset area artists and businesses are invited to a meeting with Maine Arts Commission Director of Media and Performing Arts, Kerstin Gilg, at 9 a.m., Friday, April 19. Community residents, artists, and businesses are in the midst of planning Wiscasset ArtWalk events for this summer.

A few organizational meetings have helped develop a preliminary schedule for once-a-month events to bring local residents and area visitors to the village.

There's so much here to enjoy: art galleries, unique retail shops, antique stores, historic properties, restaurants, and a very walkable downtown with great views of the Sheepscot. Gilg will talk about Art Walks in Maine, the experiences of these communities, and resources that could assist Wiscasset at this stage.
