The governor’s stay-at-home order and the guidelines around social distancing are driving medical professionals toward innovation and creativity in order to provide necessary services to those with chronic illness, children who need vaccines, and people who are concerned about their health.

The Family Care Center team in Boothbay Harbor is committed to meeting your needs in a safe, efficient way. When services were suspended at the St. Andrews Urgent Care Center, we expanded our hours at the FCC to assure continued access to care. Now, you can have your blood drawn or drop off specimens for testing at the FCC. In addition, physical, occupational and speech therapy visits continue on the St. Andrews campus.

We are connecting with many patients via a video chat on your phone, tablet or computer. It’s a secure environment where all of your information is protected. These visits allow us to check in with you safely and offer advice while also determining if you need in-person care. For those without a computer, we can chat over the phone.

If it is determined that your needs can only be addressed in person, we will take the necessary steps to keep everyone involved safe. You will be asked a series of questions about your symptoms and have your temperature checked when you arrive. In some cases, we may come to your car to provide care or discuss your symptoms before determining next steps.

When you come into the FCC, our team members will be wearing masks and one of us will provide you with a mask to wear. Collective safety is our top priority.

It’s important to note that our commitment to the people of the Boothbay region has not wavered. Your health and well-being is important to us and we will do our very best to care for you during this unprecedented time.

We recognize that along with more routine care, new, worrisome symptoms may arise and acute, time-sensitive health problems not related to the pandemic will occur. Should you have any questions or concerns about your health, please give us a call at call us at 633-7820.
