Dear Editor:

We are notified of recalls for vehicles.

We are notified of recalls of dangerous farm products, but no one — not the FDA, pharmacist or even your doctor — is required to tell you medications you take have been recalled off the market, including the most serious Class 1 recalls that could cause serious health problems or death!

Why is no one required to notify us?

For June 2020, there are both Class 1 and Class 2 recalls (Re: Public Citizens Worse Pills, Best Pills).

Is this a failure of the federal government? Should state governments step up to the plate and create laws for medication recall notifications?
