Who is the real target in America?
Dear Editor:
In the beginning the constitutional targets included wisdom that saw success in the fields of healthcare solutions that kept the economy growing in the USA.
The target quickly jumped to ripping babies from their mothers’ milk and placing them in cages without identification tags. I was shocked this was okay, even to those who claim to be Christians and believers in God.
Today the new target is payroll taxes that hits all elders and children who need Medicare and life earnings for workers who kept the economy going earning their future promised Social Security from their hard-earned income.
Are we going to keep silent while so many of our elders will die with insufficient funds for life?
In a million years who would think our Constitution would fail to protect our citizens’ right to vote during a death-causing pandemic?
Is the target more than people’s lives? Are we watching not only the destruction of thousands of lives, but also the destruction of the value of a well-run strong country that began with “for the people, and by the people?”
Have we lost our memory of God’s gifts of love, peace and kindness?
We once had the wisdom and power to help the world resolve problems with fairness and justice. Who interrupted this gift to be used by many allies in the world?
Is everyone in America the real target?
It may seem to be difficult to answer all of the questions, but remaining blind to the deaths in the pandemic, and blind to others who are targets does not honor our ancestors, nor does it provide hope for our children and grandchildren.
I am 79 years old and I am a target, just as the babies were targets placed in cages. How long can I ignore all the targets in the USA today? I pray every day for answers from God, knowing that my answers will not save lives unless others are praying also, and together with acts of love we may be able to bring back honor, fairness, and justice for all in America.
