Dear Editor:

To the residents of Wiscasset:

In my service to the town of Wiscasset since 2006, I have served on various boards and committees. I served on the Budget Committee for three years and have served on the Board of Selectmen for nine years and the last four years as the chairman.

I have always tried to put the taxpayers and residents first in my decision making process, but it is with a heavy heart that I write this letter. I will be retiring and not running for the select board for another term.

I have enjoyed serving the residents of Wiscasset and appreciate the confidence that you have showed in voting for me to represent you on the Budget Committee and select board. It’s been a pleasure to work with such caring and dedicated members of all the select boards I have been privileged to have been a part of. I also want to thank all the employees of the town for their dedicated service and all the help they have given me over the years.
