Here's a true story. A man was standing in front of an abortion clinic holding a Life Chain sign. A young woman came up to him and said, “My mother told me to thank you for being here. Twenty years ago she was pregnant, not married, didn't have a job and thought abortion was her only choice. When she saw your sign, she decided she couldn't have the abortion she had scheduled. I was the baby she would have aborted and she wanted me to thank you even more because this is her first grand baby.” She showed him the baby she was holding.

For 33 years Life Chains have been held across the U.S. and Canada. Wiscasset will be holding their 16th annual Life Chain Sunday, Oct. 4, from 2 to 3 p.m. in front of the Wiscasset Town Office. We will gather to pray silently and hold signs to remind those passing by that abortion kills children and hurts women.
