Woolwich man’s death in Topsham crash yields indictment
A Sagadahoc County grand jury has indicted a Massachusetts man on a felony manslaughter charge in the death of a motorist from Woolwich on I-295 in Topsham earlier this year.
On Oct. 14, following several months of investigation, a grand jury indicted Nasser Tibaijuka, 42, of Waltham, Massachusetts on a charge of Manslaughter, Class A. This charge results from a fatal motor vehicle crash July 3. Tibaijuka allegedly struck and killed Joseph Fisher, 41, of Woolwich, while Fisher was securing an item in his truck bed in the breakdown lane.
Tibaijuka was arrested by New Hampshire State Police and extradited to Maine. He was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset. Booking staff there said Tibaijuka appeared in district court in West Bath Thursday morning and remained at TBRJ in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.
