Dear Editor:

When will Mr. Spinney realize that the laws that apply to him are the same laws that apply to us all? It was Mr. Spinney that purchased Sheepscot River frontage, fully aware of the shoreland ordinance in place to protect the river, voted on by a majority of Alna residents.

This Sheepscot River is protected for many reasons. Mr. Spinney's recent installation of a boat launch ramp reminds us of those reasons. He has acted against the will of the community and against the shoreland ordinance that has been in place for 27 years, a measure put in place for the betterment of the community as a whole.
