Don’t miss the Lighted Fire Truck Parade Nov. 27
The second annual Lighted Fire Truck Parade will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27 in Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor.
The decorated fire engines will stage at the Boothbay Fire Station at 3 p.m. The parade will commence at 4 p.m., travel on Route 27 into Boothbay Harbor, with a detour into St. Andrews Village for the residents to enjoy, then proceed through the downtown area, and back up Route 27.
Organizer Jen Mitchell said the parade participants have been asked to stop at the Meadow Mall on their way back to the Boothbay Fire Station so children and adults can enjoy the decorations, and the Nobleboro fire truck will be parked at Craft Kitchen near Flagship Inn during the stop.
The parade will feature grand marshals this year, each who is the longest serving member of each department in three towns: Arthur Richardson in Boothbay Harbor, Swing Lewis in Boothbay, and Steve Gaudette in Southport. Sparky, the Fire Dog and possibly Smoky Bear will be making an appearance on one of the fire engines.
Tentative judges this year are Boothbay Harbor Police Chief Bob Hasch, National SLICC Ambassador Ms/Mrs 2021 Kat Pinkham and Suzie Edwards.
Will Santa and Mrs. Claus be in the parade? Be on the lookout for them while enjoying the show!
