NOW HIRING SUMMER CAMP DIRECTORS FOR SUMMER 2023

$20/hour

Must be able to work Monday through Friday schedule from June 21 through August 18. Camp training June 12-16 in the evening.
Snow Bowl Camp Director - Directing staff and camp activities for children aged 7 to 10. Lead field trips three days per week, lead fun daily activities that promote activity and character development. Work daytime hours, Monday through Friday and make a positive impact with elementary aged children in your community.

Adventure Camp Director-Directing staff and camp activities for children aged 11 to 13. Lead field trips three days per week, lead fun daily activities that promote activity and character development. Work daytime hours, Monday through Friday and make a positive impact with elementary aged children in your community.

Discovery Camp Director-Directing staff and camp activities for children aged 4 to 6. Lead field trips two days per week, lead fun daily activities that promote activity and character development. Work daytime hours, Monday through Friday and make a positive impact with elementary aged children in your community.

Camp Wonder Camp Director - Directing staff and camp activities for children aged 7 to 10. Lead field trips three days per week, lead fun daily activities that promote activity and character development. Work daytime hours, Monday through Friday and make a positive impact with elementary aged children in your community.

Camp Directors provide a safe, nurturing and positive environment for children with a focus on the YMCA's core values of: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

Directs and supervises camp program activities to meet YMCA objectives.
Exemplify the YMCA philosophy in teaching to reflect a positive image, promoting the healthy growth and development of youth.
Establish and maintain a clear line of communication with parents, campers, and other camp staff.
Provide an emotionally and physically safe environment for campers.
Incorporate STEM activities for children and opportunities to learn and prepare children for the next school year.
Write weekly newsletters.
Facilitate weekly staff meetings.
Maintain accurate records (busing lists, accident & incident reports, field trip permission slips, group lists, camp schedules).

Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.

High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred.

Experience working with children preferably in a day camp setting.

Completion of CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training, which the Y will provide.

Demonstrated maturity to handle the responsibilities involved in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for all participants
