Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Five arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 251 calls for service for the period of Aug. 1 to Aug. 8. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 6,695 calls for service.
Summons
Lawrence R. Lee, 74, of Newcastle was issued a summons Aug. 1 for Operating after License Suspension, on River Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Arrests
Christina M. Doray, 42, of Wiscasset was arrested Aug. 2 for Operating under the Influence (Drugs or Combo) and Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – OUI, on East River Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Joshua L. Bechard, 34, of Jefferson was arrested Aug. 2 for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer and on a Lincoln County District Court warrant for Failure to Appear, on Munsey Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
David L. McCarty, 41, of Waldoboro was arrested Aug. 2 for Domestic Violence Assault and Domestic Violence Threatening w/a Dangerous Weapon, on Bremen Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Tristan M. Carey, 28, of Boothbay was arrested Aug. 4 on a Sagadahoc County warrant for Failure to Appear, on Knickerbocker Road, Boothbay, by Detective Matthew Ryan.
Kristi Araujo, 42, of Woburn, Massachusetts was arrested Aug. 4 on a Franklin County warrant for Failure to Appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Ethan Burns.
Accidents
On Aug. 1, an accident occurred on State Route 129 in South Bristol involving Edgar David Catota Alulema, 25, of Lowell, Massachusetts. Mr. Catota Alulema was operating his 2011 Ford E250 southbound when he went off the roadway on the right, struck a utility pole before striking a tree, where his vehicle came to rest. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 1, an accident occurred on Ocean Point Road in Boothbay involving Matthew Mariano, 43, of Johnstown, New York. Mr. Mariano was operating his 2018 Honda southbound when he struck a deer in the roadway. Deputy Kasey Doyle was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 2, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Keith W. Anderson, 26, of Readfield and Kali L. Rodriguez, 43, of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Ms. Rodriguez was heading northbound in her 2023 Subaru Ascent, stopped and waiting to turn left. Mr. Anderson was operating his 2019 Ford F-550 northbound, approaching Rodriguez’s vehicle and he stated he did not realize her vehicle was stopped and swerved right to avoid hitting her. The edge of the box on the bed of the driver’s side of the bucket truck (Anderson’s vehicle) struck the back right quarter panel of Rodriguez’s vehicle, before going off the roadway to the right and into a ditch. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 3, an accident occurred on Hollywood Blvd in Whitefield involving Stephen K. Rines, 70, of Wiscasset. Mr. Rines was operating his 2022 Nissan Frontier southbound when he had a medical event, which caused him to have a coughing spell and lose control of his vehicle. As a result, his vehicle went off the roadway to the left and struck a tree. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
