Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 1 arrest
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 189 calls for service for the period of Aug. 15 to Aug. 22. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 7,161 calls for service.
Summons
Christina M. Petersen, 45, of Waterville was issued a summons Aug. 15 for Operating after License Suspension, on Turner Road, Bremen, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Arrest
Haley M. Follett Thomas, 24, of Bremen was arrested Aug. 16 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Waldoboro Road, Bremen, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Accidents
On Aug. 15, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Carol A. Richards, 67, of West Gardiner and Mary C. Hartman, 64, of Yarmouth. Ms. Richards was operating her 2015 Nissan Rogue northbound and was attempting to make a left turn, failing to yield to oncoming traffic. As a result, Ms. Hartman, who was operating her 2003 Jeep Liberty southbound, struck Richards vehicle in the rear passenger corner. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 15, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Erneldis Lores Lopez, 21, of Houston, Texas. Mr. Lores Lopez was operating his 2012 Ford F-350 northbound towards Route 1 on Boothbay Road. Mr. Lores Lopez was going too fast and when he came to the stop sign, he was unable to stop and crossed the median, hitting a one way sign, before jackknifing his truck into its goose neck trailer and crashing into the guardrail on the southbound lane of Route 1. Deputy Ethan Burns was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 16, an accident occurred on State Route 32 in Bristol involving Alton K. Coolidge, 19, of Rockport. Mr. Coolidge was operating his 1949 Chevrolet pickup northbound when two deer ran in front of his vehicle. Coolidge stated that the brakes on his antique truck locked, causing him to lose control. As a result, his vehicle ran off the road to the right and rolled onto its passenger side in the ditch. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 17, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Jennifer S. Maguire, 48, of Boothbay Harbor. Ms. Maguire was operating her 2017 Honda Accord southbound on Route 27, in the area of Adams Pond when she stated she fell asleep, ran off the road on the left and rolled over upon entering a ditch, causing significant damage to the front and side of her vehicle. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
