Visit Wiscasset Public Library for Valentine’s gifts
Valentine’s Day is approaching, and this holiday has expanded to expressions of affection and caring among relatives and friends. Many of us want to surprise the important people in our lives. Many of us need some assistance in finding something unique yet useful for the people important in our lives.
Well, look no further. Visit the Wiscasset Public Library (21 High Street). The Friends of the Wiscasset Public Library have created a display of items that will delight everyone. Stop by the Circulation Area and view the wall display where you will find decorated mugs with cocoa, hats, and some cookbooks. More books in every genre are available at incredibly low cost in Second Hand Prose (our used book room).
Remember how it felt to give and receive those adorable Valentine's Day treats that marked the big day when you were a child? Bring that joy to someone who might not be expecting a gift. Think of the joy this could bring to someone.
The Friends of the Wiscasset Library are pleased to bring this to our residents. If you are interested in joining the Friends, please stop by our Library and complete the Friends’ Membership Form. Membership forms are also available by sending an email to Lynn Maloney (lynnmaloney5@yahoo.com). All money collected by the Friends goes directly toward Library programs and services.
We invite you to attend a Friends’ Meeting to learn more about the many ways we support WPL and to meet the members and hear about some of the wonderful times we have shared. You will find out why we joined and why we maintain our membership in this dynamic group. We meet at 9:30am on the 2nd Wednesday of every other month. We start with a coffee social followed by our business meeting at 10 a.m. Our next meeting is Wednesday, March 13. Hope you will join us and “Be a Friend” of the Wiscasset Public Library. If you have any questions, you can call me at 207-798-2831 and I will be happy to answer your questions.
