Art in the Square returns to BRAF
The Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) is excited to announce the return of its popular Art in the Square exhibition for 2024. This holiday favorite showcases a diverse collection of original artworks by local artists, all created on 12” x 12” square canvases. The show opens Nov. 16 at 10 a.m.
Priced at just $125 per square, these unique pieces of art offer an affordable way to support local artists and a worthy cause. Proceeds from Art in the Square directly benefit BRAF’s annual scholarship program, which is awarded to local high school seniors pursuing artistic studies. And, it's also a great way to bring some affordable art home by local and regional artists!
Don't miss this opportunity to own a piece of local art and support the next generation of artists. Visit the Boothbay Region Art Foundation gallery to explore the captivating works on display.
John Sawyer, John Butke, Sarah Wilde, Irene Plummer, Susie Porter, Virginia Forrest, and Ann Hedgcock are just a few artists expected to return this year.
Gallery hours are Thursday-Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with one exception: the Early Bird Sale & Pajama Party on Saturday, Nov. 23; on that day the gallery opens at 8 a.m.
A reception will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. This is the day Boothbay Lights brings Santa and Mrs. Claus to Boothbay Harbor followed by the a lighted boat parade and fireworks.
