Winners
Congratulations to the 2024 Boothbay Region High School cross-country, football and field hockey teams. Their seasons are not yet done as of this writing on Tuesday morning but they have all been competitive this fall and have provided excitement for their fans. BRHS coaches and athletes are to be commended for their hard work with all three programs successfully making post-season appearances. Way to go, Seahawks. And thank you, parents of these athletes, for supporting your boys and girls.
Congratulations, too, to the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce award winners announced during the Chamber’s annual dinner Oct. 15. All the winners, as well as the nominees in the various categories, help make this region special.

Be sure to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 5 – or before – if you haven’t done so already. After viewing the many TV ads – the same ones several times a day – for weeks, I know it will feel good to have my ballot counted so I can relax a little until the outcome.

Motorists, please keep your eyes peeled for the little ghosts and goblins out and about on Halloween this Thursday. Thanks to the Boothbay Harbor Police Department for shutting down the various roads in some of the most popular Trick or Treating haunts from 6 to 9 p.m.

Upcoming is Veterans Day on Nov. 11. Be sure to thank them for their service.
