Senator Reny wins re-election to Senate District 13
AUGUSTA — Senator Cameron Reny of Bristol wins re-election to Senate District in Senate District 13 in the critical battle for Maine’s Senate. During a contentious presidential year where Democrats saw a wave of late out-of-state money targeting toss-up races, Reny triumphed in a decisive victory over challenger Dale Harmon.
“There has already been a positive movement to address issues important to our district, like housing, climate resiliency and affordable healthcare. I want to see that work continue. I am proud of the progress made by working together,” said Senator Cameron Reny. “I’ve made so many good connections and working relationships over the past two years with colleagues and constituents from both sides of the aisle, and it helps to get things done. My goal is to create strong communities and a good, sustainable future for our children and grandchildren. I’m honored to have the continued opportunity to serve my community.”
Senator Reny serves as Senate Chair of the Legislature’s Marine Resources Committee and on the Health Coverage, Insurance and Financial Services Committee. In the Legislature, she has supported legislation to rein in prescription drug prices, improve access to quality, affordable child care and invest in coastal communities in the wake of devastating storms.
Senator Reny has worked at local, school, district, and state-wide levels to solve problems, support equitable policies, and advocate for children and families.
Senate District 13 includes the communities in Lincoln County as well as the towns of Washington and Windsor.
