The next Diabetes Support Group meeting, on Tuesday, Dec. 12, will feature an open forum to answer diabetes-related questions. The discussion begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Wellness and Rehab Center in the Webster Van Winkle Building on MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital’s Miles campus in Damariscotta. The program will also be available via Zoom. 

The December topic will be an open forum for patients to ask questions about diabetes, including information about Medicare, insurance benefits and diabetes program information. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist Marilyn Finch, RN, MS, CDCES will be the host speaker. She will also update patients on continuous glucose monitoring and medications and resources to help patients achieve their diabetes goals.  

The Diabetes Support Group meetings are free and open to adults living with diabetes and their families. Pre-registration is recommended due to limited seating and the need to provide a Zoom link prior to the meeting to those who cannot be there in person.
