Resurgence Dance Company: 'The Siren of Crystal Lake' Jan. 18
Resurgence Dance Company will perform "The Siren of Crystal Lake," Saturday, Jan. 18, at 7:30 p.m., at The Camden Opera House, 29 Elm St., Camden. Doors open 7 p.m. Snow date: Jan. 19.
The production is an eclectic blend of hip-hop and contemporary ballet. Choreographed by Ashley Steeves and local guest artists, this full-length theater performance tells a chilling tale of sailors who make their living mining for crystals in the siren infested lake. Soloist Maddie Imus performs as the titular siren, Amethyst, who falls in love with a naive sailor, which causes her to question humanity and kindness.
This haunting show will feature elements of horror and fake blood, but will be appropriate for brave viewers 8 and up.
