Hearty Roots welcomes Carol Morrison to the team
Hearty Roots is thrilled to announce the recent addition of Carol Morrison to their office team. Carol joins the youth development organization as the finance and administrative manager, a key role as Hearty Roots expands its impact and offerings for area youth.
Carol has a head for numbers and brings decades of financial expertise to the organization. She proudly served as the finance manager and business partner at Gamage Shipyard until June of 2024 when the business was sold. But numbers won’t be the thing you think of when you meet her. Nope. Her glowing smile and infectious vigor will have you making up reasons to stop in again. And again. For a team that is inspired by -- and inspires -- wellness, kindness, and the restorative powers of nature and community, Carol could be no better fit.
“I’m inspired every day by the dedicated team at Hearty Roots and their commitment to helping kids in Lincoln County unplug, connect with nature, and grow. The generosity of the local community, from individuals to foundations, has been truly uplifting. I’m incredibly proud to be part of a mission-driven organization that provides much-needed support for our youth,” said Carol. And Hearty Roots is incredibly proud to have her as part of their team.
When she’s not cozying up to a spreadsheet, Carol indulges her deep love for the arts. She’s served on the governing boards of Waterfall Arts, as well as the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. She holds a BFA from Tufts University and an associate degree in photography from Maine Photographic Workshops, proving that creativity and finance can go hand in hand. Carol’s sharp eye for numbers -- and a heart for community -- will ensure Hearty Roots remains fiscally strong as it continues to serve and support area youth.
