2025 Oscar Nominated Short Films - Since 2006, ShortsTV has proudly brought the Oscar® Nominated Short Films to audiences across the globe. This special release features the year's most spectacular short films and is available to watch on the big screen for a limited time shortly after nominations are announced. Each nominee is released in one of three distinct feature-length compilations according to their category of nomination: Live Action, Animation, or Documentary. The theatrical release of the nominated short films is the world's largest commercial release of short films, delighting audiences and giving filmmakers an unprecedented opportunity to entertain short film fans. "The Brutalist" - (R; 3 hours, 35 minutes - one 15 minute intermission - in English, Hungarian, Italian, Hebrew, and Yiddish) - Escaping post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth arrives in America to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after being forced apart during wartime by shifting borders and regimes. On his own in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for building. But power and legacy come at a heavy cost. "All About Eve" - (1950; 2 hours, 18 minutes) - The final film in season 7 of Lincoln Theater’s Classic Film Club “Lights, Cameras, Classics.” When Bette Davis says, “Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night,” strap in for a wild ride. From four-time Oscar winner Joseph L. Mankiewicz, 'Eve' earned a record 14 Academy Award nominations and won six, including Best Picture, Supporting Actor, Director and Screenplay. Anne Baxter, George Sanders and Marilyn Monroe co-star in this critically acclaimed masterpiece. We are pleased to be joined at each Classic Film Club screening by film historian and CFC host, Jeannie MacDonald, for a pre-film introduction and post-screening talkback.
