Patrick H.D. Murphy, 53, died March 13, 2025 at his home in Boothbay Harbor. 

Patrick was born Jan. 20, 1972 in Brunswick to Patrick L. Murphy and Jane Orne Murphy.  Patrick grew up in Wiscasset and graduated from Wiscasset Christian Academy in the class of 1990. 

In Patrick’s early years he worked as a meat cutter at Pendleton’s Store and Yellowfront. For a large part of Patrick’s life he spent it as a carpenter working for himself and a few other carpentry companies like MMR and The Knickerbocker Group. Patrick’s hobby was working, if he wasn’tworking he was spending his free time with family. He enjoyed building and construction. He was well known as an outgoing person who was willing to help others. Humor was a big part of Patrick’s personality which is lived on in his son Mike. He was also a caring father who did his best to be there for his son even when Patrick was sick.  

He is predeceased by his father, Patrick L. Murphy who passed away in January. 

He is survived by his son, Patrick M. Murphy of Palmyra; mother, Jane Murphy of Boothbay Harbor; sister, June Thompson and her husband Ken of Brevard, North Carolina; aunts and uncles, Julie Murphy of Edgecomb, Jean and Bob Labbe of Westbrook, Joy Andrews of Waverly Hall, Georgia, and John and Cathy Orne of Edgecomb; cousins, Herbie and Fay Murphy of Boothbay Harbor, Michelle and Trevor Zonneveld of Lacey, Washington, Danny Murphy and Misty Brown of Edgecomb, Mark Murphy of Bristol, and Caitlin and Matt Hamner of Martin, Georgia. 

A private family graveside gathering will be held at the Alna Cemetery in Alna.
