Come one, come all to Ames Supply on Bath Road in Wiscasset on Saturday, March 29 from 7:30 to 1:30, to snap up home baked cakes, cookies, pies and such. In the process, support the missions of providing weekend bags of supplemental nutrition for participating Wiscasset Elementary School students to help them bridge the weekend meal gap till back in school.  The Set for Success arm of the mission works to purchase teacher-suggested supplies for all students in grades pre-K to 12. Provide for all so that none need feel singled out.

With spiraling costs and many students to help, Feed Our Scholars is scheduling a few other events besides the Ames sale for fun and/or delicious ways for donors to enjoy themselves as they support the mission. 

On May 2, in anticipation of Mother’s Day, there will be a vase painting party at St. Philip’s hall at 12 Hodge St. in Wiscasset. Liz Murphy from Ello Sunshine Handmade Creations and Events will return to lead a group of 30. A fun way to wind down on a Friday evening, and grab the chance to come away with a homemade gift for someone else or for yourself! A dessert table will also be available for noshing on sweets and beverages.

Later that month, find us at Wormfest on May 31. A fun, family-friendly event at the waterfront, Wormfest raises funds to grant monetary awards for selected Wiscasset seniors to help them get ready for further schooling, training and establishing themselves in the world of work. 

Feed Our Scholars' Wormfest bake table dedicates its monies for helping younger Wiscasset residents as they grow and develop. We’ll be in the food court area; seek us out for whatever goodies you may find—worm-related or not.
