Call for volunteers: Career Fair at Edgecomb Eddy School May 30
Edgecomb Eddy School is excited to announce our second Career Fair for elementary students, designed to provide them with engaging, hands-on experiences that introduce them to various professions. We seek enthusiastic volunteers who are eager to share their career insights and inspire young minds.
Date: May 30; Time Commitment: 9-11:45 a.m.; Location: Outdoor (or gymnasium in case of rain); School: Edgecomb Eddy School; Meet and Greet Cookout Please join us from noon to 1 p.m.
Volunteer responsibilities:
• Demonstration of career: Volunteers will present their profession to small groups of students, highlighting key aspects and daily tasks.
• Hands-on experience: Engage students with interactive activities that allow them to experience the skills or tools used in your profession.
• Inspire and educate: Aim to leave students with a newfound appreciation for different careers and the importance of education in achieving career goals.
Presentation details:
• Outdoor setup: The event is planned to be held outdoors, providing a relaxed and engaging environment for students.
Rain plan: In the event of rain, presentations will be moved to the school gymnasium.
Goals:
• Career awareness: Help students understand the diversity of careers available and the skills they require.
• Appreciation for Learning: Encourage students to connect their education with real-world applications and career opportunities.
