Alna voters discuss views
Charles Culbertson of Alna votes in every election, but he feels this one may have been the most important, for a number of reasons. He's a “huge Obama supporter” and doesn't feel Republicans have shown they take climate change seriously, Culbertson said.
Culbertson also said he “strongly supports” allowing same-sex marriages. “I think it's very important that it gets passed,” he said.
Culbertson's twins, Maeva and Jack, went with him to the polls at the Alna Fire Station, one day after the two turned 8 years old.
Like Culbertson, Stacy Day favored a “yes” vote for same-sex marriages. “I'm totally in favor of it,” she said after voting. She votes in every election as well.
So does David Seigars. “I just figure it's my right to do it,” he said. This time, Seigars said, “I just wanted to make sure we get a President who will stop putting us in debt, and (who will) get us some jobs, too. We need jobs,” he said. Seigars declined to publicly name his pick for the White House.
