Acting Essentials - Adult Workshop Series ; Making It Up As You Go: The Art of Improvisation. Jan-March (1/20, 2/10, 3/9), 10:00-12:30

We are thrilled to welcome back Improv Artist Ryan Jackson to The Waldo to continue our Improvisation workshop series! In this series of workshops, participants will engage in various Improvisation games and prompts to improve skills in storytelling, character development, and spontaneity. Each session, participants will learn the tips and tricks that allow for uninhibited creation and the trusting of your acting instincts all while connecting with other creatives in the community. Whether interested in improvisation or acting, these workshops will help actors develop the skills needed to portray compelling characters and engage an audience. Come for one or come for all! Designed for seasoned actors and newcomers - all levels are welcome!

Cost: Sliding scale $30-50 per workshop

The Waldo is using a sliding scale in the hope that we can create more financial accessibility to our workshops. We believe that financial resources should not be the determining factor for folks that want to access arts experiences. If you are unfamiliar with a sliding scale, each participant may determine for themselves which option along the scale is best for them. There is no income verification, everyone is trusted to make the decision that is best for them. In theory, those that are able to pay full price provide the cushion for those that are not.
