Try it Yourself! Improv Workshop on Saturday afternoon from 3:00 - 4:30PM

In this Intro to Improv Workshop we will learn about the basic concepts of improvisational comedy and how they can be applied to any type of performance. Explore improv through games and demos in a fun, no-pressure environment. Your instructor will be Dennis Price. Dennis Price, founder of Capital City Improv, studied and performed improvisation in Chicago with The Second City and IO Theater (formerly ImprovOlympic), where he worked with some of the best improvisers in the business. Since coming to Maine in 1998, Dennis has worked as an actor, performer, improviser, teacher, and director at places like Theater at Monmouth, The Penobscot Theater in Bangor and The Public Theatre in Lewiston. During the summer, he performs with ImprovAcadia in Bar Harbor. With ten years of classroom teaching and instruction behind him, Dennis is bringing improv and comedy to even more of Maine. The workshop fee is $15 for adults, $10 for youth.
