Alna selectmen said at least two of them and at least one Jefferson selectman will meet at 12 p.m. Monday, July 18, on Egypt Road, at the Alna-Jefferson line. Town officials are following up on research John Hilton of Newcastle did, regarding his ancestors’ properties. According to Hilton’s packet of materials which Alna’s board recently reviewed, local maps have part of the town line wrong and place some Alna acres in Jefferson.

The number of Alna board members attending makes the walk public. The selectmen said they expect to look at about 30 to 40 acres. They recommend wearing tick repellent.
