Wiscasset Selectman Kim Andersson will hold an open meeting at 6 p.m. July 10 at the Wiscasset Middle High School library to discuss and hear suggestions about the process for the town's comprehensive plan review this year. All Wiscasset stakeholders interested in participating in, or just learning more about, this review are invited.

The meeting's purpose is to provide information about the process and garner interest and feedback from people who might like to participate on the Review Committee.

Wiscasset’s comprehensive plan was written in 2006 and revised and approved in 2007 by the State Planning Office in accordance with the state's Planning and Land Use Regulation Growth Management Act. Wiscasset is required by law to have an updated comprehensive plan to guide it in sustaining our environment and preserving our quality of place as we continue to work towards building and growing a healthy economy.

Review Committee Chair Kim Andersson's goal is to creatively reach as many members of our community as possible so that we might all have input in our shared vision and strategic plan for our town over the next 10 years.
